Friends of Frederick County (“Friends”) was formed over three years ago to promote land conservation and responsible environmental stewardship at a time when bulldozers and subdivisions were quickly eating up the scenic farmland and open space in one of Maryland’s most beautiful rural counties. Friends of Frederick County has quickly become a clearinghouse on growth and development issues for local citizens who are frustrated by a planning and zoning process dominated by development interests. Friends has built support for sound land-use planning through research and analysis of growth issues, testimony at public hearings and workshops, educational outreach, action alerts, newsletters, press releases, neighborhood canvassing and public rallies. In partnership with local residents and other citizen’s groups, Friends of Frederick County has helped change the way in which voters and newly elected officials view growth and the planning process.
RAM Digital, Inc. specializes in the development and deployment of new media applications. We have developed over 400 multimedia CD-ROMs, as well as hundreds of streaming media and web-based training projects for Fortune 50 companies. We shoot on high-definition video and deploy on HDVD, DVD, CD-ROM and over the web. We use FLASH™ and FLASH Remoting™ to create interactive online and CD-ROM projects. For streaming media, we often use FLASH™ video, Windows Media Technologies™, RealVideo®, and SMIL.
Gallagher/Wood Design is a graphic design firm in Frederick MD. We have designed and produced a wide range of materials in print and electronic media for a variety of clients in the Baltimore/Washington area for over twenty years.
